Lamborghini

Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. is an Italian manufacturer of luxury sports cars which is owned by the German Volkswagen Group through its subsidiary Audi. Lamborghini's production facility and headquarters are located in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy.

Automobile Lamborghini S.p.A, commonly referred to as Lamborghini, is the Italian manufacturer of expensive luxury sports cars, known for producing high-performance, stylish and high speed and two-door, two-seated sport cars that serve as a great competition to Ferrari.

The company is named after its founder Ferruccio Lamborghini who was a successful tractor manufacturer before he got interested in sports cars. It was his interest in sports cars that made him buy many different high-performance cars including both Maseratis and Ferraris. He founded his own company in 1963, which used to be an independent company, but now it is a subsidiary of the German company Audi AG. Lamborghini went bankrupt in 1978 and was sold to Chrysler a long time before Audi AG became the sole owner of the company in 1988.
Lamborghini has rolled out models such as the four-seat Espada and various V8 sports cars, but it is their mid engine super cars that have gained significant popularity.
